The staff of the Waterfront looked after us well on our weekend. In the current environment, we had very little contact, but that was fine as we wanted and needed for nothing. We'll be back again next year.

We loved everything about this hotel. All the staff from top to bottom were exceptional. The sunrise over the river was spectacular. Watching the boat club and search and rescue teams excercising was interesting. We are an old couple and found the area was good for walking.

Recently enjoyed a short midweek break to Waterford (first time visiting) with a friend. 2 night stay was excellent value for money for 2 double rooms. The rooms had river views and the area was very quiet. Although the hotel is approx 25 minute walk from Plunkett station, it was a direct walk along the main quayside. There did seem to be various buses covering that route/area. The hotel was close to a decent pub (The Three Shippes) and 2 takeaways (Chinese and Fish and Chips). All dealings with staff - at check in, night porter, barman and check out (night porter again) - were excellent - all staff were very friendly and attentive. All parts of the hotel were faultlessly clean and tidy. The location was close by the Viking Triangle area and there did seem to be a number of places of interest to visit as well as Waterford Crystal.
All in all a very enjoyable stay and for a future visit to Waterford I would look first of all to stay in the Waterford Marina Hotel.

This is very nice place to stay, room was clean ,nice, modern, with river view, comfortable.
Food was ok, service very good, bar was excellent to rest and relax ,music was quiet, so I can speak not shout, and I can hear my husband, I can recommend Marina Hotel to stay, and I will come back there in summer

Recently stayed for one night attending a party at the hotel. Booked online got a great rate and choose to have breakfast. The room we were given was a very large family room with a view of the marina. A bit old fashioned in decor but very clean and the shower was great. The food served at the dinner party was fabulous piping hot and delicious. We moved into a reserved area in the bar where a two piece band played and they were very good. There was a large choice for breakfast which was a buffet and again the food piping hot and very good. We enjoyed our stay and are considering a return trip with our family.

My boyfriends birthday and going away party was on Wednesday night and the receptionist named Louise was extremely helpful when helping me organise extra stuff to be put into the room. The hotel is in a beautiful location beside the water and the breakfast was lovely. Would stay again as the value was good.

Lovely big room with river views and very friendly helpful staff! The location was also perfect for me, as I was attending an event in the Theatre Royal. The Viking Triangle is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. I would definitely stay again!

This hotel is slightly out of the City centre but only a few minutes walk away. With a great location on the river and great staff throughout it is a good place to stay. The food in the bar and restaurant was good. My wife and I are not great fans of buffet breakfasts but this one was as good as any with decent coffee.
Highly recommended and we will be returning again in the future.

Would start by saying how welcoming the staff are. Woman on front desk was very helpful. Having the car park for security was great for my bike. Town was only five mins away. Our window view and that from the dining room was s highlight. And all for bargain price.

My wife and I were very pleased with our stay. The room was large and comfortable. They even had a small anniversary gift and a note in the room when we arrived. We had a great view of the river. Dinner in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous. We would love to have a return visit.

I would definitely stay at the Waterford Marina Hotel again. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable and the staff are really friendly and cannot do enough to look after you. The hotel gets no passing traffic so it is a very quiet place and you get wonderful views across the marina to the wooded embankment on the other side of the marina. I stayed for four nights and I slept very well each night in their very comfortable beds.

Stayed 1 night with 2 other family members while touring Ireland. Modern hotel on the river with very secure parking. Decent sized room with nice bathroom and a very good shower. We ate in the bar and the food was excellent and good value. Breakfast was equally good. I would stay there again.

We had a lovely triple room overlooking the front entrance and the Quay. It was very big with lots of room for our suitcases etc. we had a small table and two chairs and a big bathroom. It is not as modern as some but made up for it on size and functionality. The bar downstairs has some tables to sit out on the sidewalk and we could watch rowers and other water activity. Dinner was very nice and we enjoyed a continental breakfast (was cooked as well). The other plus for us was free parking undercover. All the staff were very attentive. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much. (An easy walk into town)

Visiting Waterford for a night and walking through the waterfront, I was worried that the hotel would be noisy due to all the traffic. I shouldn't have worried! Tucked away in a corner (yet, due to signage, easy to find!) out of the way and right on the river, this location is only eclipsed by how very nice the room was! The view over the river was spectacular, the room was roomy and comfortable. Great place to stay!

The Waterford Marina is a modern hotel just a few minutes walk from the main city. It is well situated near the historical end, with Waterford Glass and a couple of museums near by.

A beautiful 3* hotel just a couple of minutes walk from the city centre, friendly staff, clean room. Get a room with a river view if possible.
The only gripe I'd have happened when checking out, I was in a rush to get to work and there was a queue of of people waiting to check out. One lady was taking forever, and the receptionist didn't seem to mind that there was a queue building up. Perhaps a dropbox to allow guests leave their keycards in wouldn't go astray, but only a small issue, I'll definitely be booking in again next month.

The Marina Hotel is situated in the very quiet Marina right in the centre on Waterford. The location was wonderful with just 5 minutes walk from the Viking Triangle.
The rooms were very quiet and comfortable but they were a bit dated and could have used some maintenance. The room was also quite warm at night and we would have to leave the window open. The bed was clean and comfortable, the TV had a generous choice of channels and the wardrobe was very generous and spacious. The bathroom was also clean but again could have used some maintenance on the the taps and the door.
Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Marina Hotel due to the fabulous location, quiet surroundings and comfortable rooms.

We were a group of 9 meeting up for a family catch up.We had an 82 year old with us who was not very mobile and the staff and the facilities were excellent for all .We thoroughly enjoyed our stay will definitely be back.

We spent two lovely days, our grandchildren (age 3.5 and 2.5) were made very welcome including a little goody bag on arrival. We ate the bar food on both nights which was great quality and value for money, the battered fish and chips is the best we all ever tasted and would gladly drive an hour just for that 😊😊
Breakfast again was a lovely spacious room, with everything very well laid out and easy to see, I noted the hot area serviced regularly not allowing any foods to run empty, two of our rooms had river views, while my daughters family room did not however it was a well proportioned room including a double, 2 singles and a seating area with sofa and table and chairs. Staff were all helpful and friendly especially in the bar service as there did not seem to be enough staff until 6pm....

We stayed two nights. At arrival we had a very warm welcome by reception staff, easy and straightforward check-in. Our room (304) had a good size, with double bed and also a single bed, TV, Bathroom with shower over bathtub, sink, toilet and radiator, all spotless clean. The bed and mattress was very comfortable. From our room we enjoyed the view on the river. The hotel is in a quiet place and that guarantees a good nights sleep 😴.
Breakfast is absolutely perfect, huge selection of juices, cereals, Joghurts, milk, fruits, porridge, coffee, cappuccino, hit chocolate, teas, fried and scrambled eggs, very tasty ham, and everything for a full Irish â˜˜ï¸ breakfast, different bread, scones, toast and and and ......
Friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel has also a bar where you get a big choice of drinks and very good food.
We loved this hotel and we would recommend it to anybody.
We stayed at the Tower Hotel at a previous visit but we would prefer the Waterford Marina

Not a 5 star but much better than just basic. Best breakfast of our 13 days stayed throughout Ireland. That includes several B&B's. Paid 8euros each the night before instead of 10 in the morning. A special?? Close to Waterford Crystal & canal & water next to bldg. Would definitely return.

Staff were excellent in making our stay very comfortable. The hotel was in a perfect location and very handy in having free under cover carpark available. Dining in was great and breakfast was superb with a excellent range. Would highly recommend hotel to friends back in Australia.

The Waterford Marina Hotel is quiet, but centrally located, within walking distance of the Waterford Crystal Factory and restaurants. The free parking was convenient and much appreciated. The room was well appointed, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was outstanding. Everyone was positive, helpful, and seemed to enjoy working at the hotel. Michael McCorrie deserves special mention. We saw him morning and evening every day we were there. He provided information about the area, answered our questions cheerfully, suggested activities that we might enjoy. We think he was an Assistant Manager, but if so, he definitely was a "hands on" manager. We observed him giving directions to other staff members in a positive manner, checking the halls at night to be sure that all was well, manning the reception desk when it was busy, and even cleaning tables in the breakfast room on particularly busy mornings. The hotel is fortunate to have such an excellent employee to set an example.

The hotel is tucked away a short walk from the City Centre. It's in a much a quieter location than the hotels located along the quayside. It has friendly and helpful staff. I had a twin room which was spotless and comfortable, with the added attraction of a view overlooking the river. There was a wide selection available for the buffet breakfast. The waterfront bar was a relaxing place to unwind in the evening and offered a good range of snacks and meals. I would stay again on a future visit to Waterford City.

My sister & I stayed here for 1 night. We enjoyed the location - on the river in a quiet part of town. We were on foot, so we used a taxi to get to/from the hotel. Without luggage, it was an easy walk.

Beautiful place to stay in Waterford. The hotel is very nicely kept up and clean. Staff was pleasent and helpful. Within walking distance to almost everything around the city.

This was our second stay at the Waterford Marina Hotel. Great location no passing traffic, so the hotel was very quiet. Requested a room overlooking the river which was very nice. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

This hotel has it all! Free parking, friendly helpful staff, lovely food, secluded yet central, and the room was very clean and comfortable.

Myself and my husband had a fantastic time. The hotel was fab and the staff couldn't have been more welcome. One staff member that stands out for us was John. I think he was a night porter also worked in the residence bar at night. I think also he was doing some painting around the hotel. Thanks so much for everything John. You really made us feel welcome and the latte's where fab!😀

The hotel was clean and the food was lovely, but the staff impressed me the most. Every member of staff I spoke with was friendly, professional and couldn't do enough to provide an excellent service. My friend and I had a lovely stay at the hotel and would highly recommend it for a visit to Waterford.

First time ever being in Waterford.
Firstly the hotel was in a great location and the view was exceptional.

Myself & 2 friends spend a night in the Waterford marina on Thursday last.
It is a lovely hotel tucked into the corner of the street overlooking the marina on the river, with such lovely views of the river & swans.
The staff were AMAZING, so friendly, had time for a conversation , felt like you were coming into their home with their natural hospitality.
Also they gave us an upgrade to a beautiful room overlooking the river.
The food was gorgeous.
We will be going back here definitely & will be spreading the news.
